Timo Werner’s move from Leipzig to Chelsea is done. The striker has already signed a contract untill 2025. The reports say the total fee is about €53m(£47.5m), according to BILD information.
The German was also on Manchester City and Liverpool rader but rather choose Chelsea ahead of other rival clubs.
Chelsea coach Frank Lampard was in Leipzig before the Corona break, and also convinced Werner of joining the Blues on many phone calls.
After spending four years at Leipzig, the German netted 93 goals in 157 games. He will now continue his excellent performance in England.
